When we travel we love having local, authentic experiences, finding hidden gems, and coming home with unique finds. That’s why we’re fans of the Transat and Style Jaunt video series that’s part travel guide, part shopping guide. In the second installment (the first series took them to Portugal), Canadian bloggers Gracie Carroll and Camille DG, head to Mexico where they first visit Puerto Vallarta, eventually making their way to the Riviera Nayarit where they discover a cool surf town called Sayulita.

Check out the three videos below:

Expect to experience full-on wanderlust after watching their inspiring travels. Both of us have been to Mexico on multiple occasions, but haven’t had the opportunity to escape much past the walls of the resort, which just goes to show how much you can see by going out and exploring. So don’t be afraid!

With 2016 around the corner, we’re thinking about where we’d like to go in the New Year (some people make health resolutions, we make travel resolutions). Here’s where we’re lusting to visit:

Nicaragua – “I’ve been dying to visit Nicaragua for a while now and I can’t think of a better place to escape when the cold front descends onto Toronto. A hot but still under-the-radar destination, you’ll find amazing surfing, untouched beaches and tons of natural beauty from its volcanoes to rainforest. It’s a perfect place to be active, but also relax and unwind.” — Stephanie Gray

Colombia – “I’m obsessed with South America, but one place I haven’t been to yet is Colombia. Bogotá and Cartagena are high on my list of places to visit and being a recent coffee convert, I would be content sipping on Colombian coffee each and every morning (and even exploring the famed coffee triangle!). Not to mention the vibrant music, cities and nightlife!” — Jennifer Weatherhead Harrington
