For those who aren’t familiar with Kit and Ace, now’s the perfect time to get acquainted with the Canadian retailer. Known for their technical apparel and accessories, their clothing is the perfect mix of ultra-functional, yet fashionable and luxurious — perfect for travellers.

The materials they use to construct the clothes have super-friendly travel features such as being wrinkle-resistant and temperature-regulating, meaning they’re great for long flights, not to mention the stretch in the fabric allows the item to hold its shape and recover — so squish them as tight as you want in your suitcase.

To connect with travellers around the globe, Kit and Ace decided to partner with seven luxury hotels in major cities from Melbourne to London for a series of pop-up shops called “The Carry-On.”

“The Carry-on pop-up concept was developed knowing that travellers discover cities online well before checking into their hotel,” said JJ Wilson, Co-founder and Head of Brand at Kit and Ace. “We wanted to create a multi-platform experience that offered the same content online and offline where people could shop travel essentials and explore cities around the world at the same time.”

The pop-up shop will allow customers to shop the brand’s signature travel apparel, and they can continue the experience online where they can find travel resources like itineraries from each city curated by local influencers.

So far Kit and Ace has been in San Francisco and Los Angeles and they’re currently at The Olsen in Melbourne until April 17 and at the Mondrian London until April 20. The next two dates are The Old Clare Hotel (April 20-26) in Sydney and the Refinery Hotel in New York City (April 28-May 1).
