St. Regis Florence

A Junior Suite at the St. Regis Florence

There are plenty of reasons why you’d want to make your way to Florence, Italy. Be it the Renaissance architecture, museums (like the newly opened Gucci Museum) or to just soak in the culture, considering calling it a day at the recently renovated St. Regis Florence. Known as the Grand Hotel Florence since the 18th century, after 10 months and $25 million, it’s re-opened as a St. Regis property. In an effort to keep its authenticity, the hotel commissioned local Florentine artisans and craftsmen, noticeable in the paisley printed leather panels in the elevators to the chestnut floorboards.

Traditionally-styled with luxurious accents like coffered ceilings, custom-made furniture and gold leaf plaques, the hotel features a total of 81 guest rooms and 19 suites, including the much sought-after Bottega Veneta suite designed by the brand’s Creative Director Thomas Maier. This fashion/hotel collaboration may be a just the start of the new trend, considering they just asked Dior to do a suite in New York.
