Earlier today Air Canada unveiled its new leisure airline: Rouge. The new low-cost carrier’s plan is to “combine affordable fares, great service and choice leisure destinations,” says Michael Friisdahl, President and Chief Executive Officer of Air Canada’s Leisure Group.
Flights won’t start until July 1, 2013, but you don’t have to wait to score some amazing introductory fares to destinations including Venice, Edinburgh, Athens, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Costa Rica, which will only be on sale until December 25, 2012 with travel between July and October 26, 2013.
Currently Air Canada doesn’t fly to Venice, Italy and Edinburgh, Scotland, so this is an exciting addition to their lineup. Rouge will also pickup Toronto and Montreal to Athens, Greece, as well as Caribbean destinations Cuba, Dominican Republic and Jamaica.
Some of the fares you can expect to find:
- Venice, Edinburgh and Toronto/Montreal-Athens: starting as low as $949 round-trip including all taxes, fees, charges and surcharges.
- Dominican Republic (Punta Cana, Puerto Plata and Samana) and Kingston, Jamaica: starting as low as $269 each way including all taxes, fees, charges and surcharges.
- Costa Rica (San Jose and Liberia): starting as low as $389 each way including all taxes, fees, charges and surcharges.
- Cuba (Varadero, Cayo Coco, Holguin and Santa Clara): starting as low as $538 round-trip including all taxes, fees, charges and surcharges
