A venue synonymous with all things cutting edge, The Drake Hotel, has become a staple for trendy Toronto night owls and day creatures alike.

Now, the new Drake One Fifty — the first stand-alone restaurant, bar and art space from Drake Hotel Properties – fuses Drake’s signature high-meets-low style with modern sophistication offering patrons a fine dining, social experience, that promises to make the restaurant a hospitality trailblazer in Toronto’s financial district.

Opening October 2, the 6,000 plus-square-foot space boasts impressive features like a 60-foot oval marble bar, a unique cork ceiling, vintage-inspired photo booth, a micro-Drake General Store, urban patio and a performance stage for DJs and live programming, and annual art installations from Canadian artists.

Executive chef Ted Corrado hand crafted menu offers diners a true Canadian brasserie experience. Highlights include:

  • Roasted shoulder of lamb (brined for two days and then slow-roasted, served with blanched haricot vert, roasted baby eggplant, new potatoes, chili puree and yogurt, $27)
  • Grilled sardines (British Columbia sardines grilled with olive oil and salt, garnished with chimichurri, fennel and grapefruit salad, $15)
  • Rabbit confit torchetti (with sundried black olives, spinach, chanterelles and pecorino, $22)
  • Seafood tower (fresh daily mix of lobster, crab, oysters, shrimp,  mussels, clams and squid, served with an array of sauces and available in multiple sizes, $45 to $120)
  • New Drake Burger (with cured foie gras, pickled red onion, Bibb lettuce, Russian dressing, old cheddar and hand cut fries, $24)
  • Homemade pies ($9)
