Classic: The Four Seasons Boston
There’s a certain elegance that comes with staying at the Four Seasons anywhere in the world. The Four Seasons in Boston is no exception with luxurious, spacious rooms with classic detailing, huge bathrooms with L’Occitane products, amazing dining options and impeccable service (our welcome gifts when we arrived included bubbly and sweets). Situated right on the edge of the Boston Commons, you’ll also get amazing views (we suggest getting room service one morning and sip your coffee while watching the sun come up over the park’s trees). The location is also great for those looking to explore the Back Bay area.

Trendy: Nine Zero Hotel
If having a room that requires an eye scan to enter is up your ally, then the Nine Zero is the ideal stay for you. Even if you’re not looking for the eye scan security in the Cloud Nine suite, you can still feel the trendy and hip vibe at this boutique hotel. The lobby is decked out in deep purple, charcoal grey, black and white giving a mod feel that makes you want to get your heels on and dance. The rooms are rich and cozy with furry black and white blankets, geometric print carpeting and sleek black furniture topped with iPod players. A peek in the bathroom and you’ll find funky terrycloth animal print bathrobes — the perfect addition to this fun hotel.

And with Saks Fifth Avenue, Tiffany & Co., and Gucci just around the corner, you can get all your designer basics in one spot. The Charles River is less than a five-minute walk away and many rooms have stunning views of the river. But best of all, The Mandarin Oriental is home to Boston’s only 5-star spa. The 16,000-square-foot spa is a haven for tired feet and muscles form shopping all day.
