At the end of March 2014, Groupe Germain will open its newest ALT Hotel property in Montreal’s Griffintown. This will be the second ALT Hotel in Montreal and the third Groupe Germain property (they also have a Hotel Le Germain Montreal) in the city.

The district they’ve picked is one of Montreal’s oldest neighbourhoods, but has been experiencing tremendous growth recently including new condo developments and according to Groupe Germain, “expected to be a major tourist hub.” Located at the gates to the city and walking distance to the Old Port and downtown, makes it an ideal neighbourhood for travellers.

The building will keep with the ALT Hotel’s modern aesthetic and will be 18-storeys high with 154 rooms. There will also be eight meeting rooms, an outdoor terrace with city views and a fully-equipped gym available 24 hours a day. Similar to other ALT properties, including their Pearson Airport location, this hotel will also have eco-friendly design features and also offer plush in-room amenities, such as Egyptian cotton bedding, flat screen TV’s, free Wi-Fi and Fruits and Passion bath products.

The hotel won’t be a standalone, it will be a part of a multi-use real estate complex that will include condos, restaurants, shops and underground parking.

To celebrate the hotel’s opening they are offering a special rate of $119/night from March until May 2014. After that the rate is $149/night. Visit althotels.ca to make reservations.
