It’s all about local talent at the Tofino Food & Wine Festival, on Vancouver Island. In their 12th year, the main event is Grazing in the Gardens, held al fresco, at the Tofino Botanical Gardens. Taste of the Beach, Toronto | Saturday, June 7, 2014
This year’s Luminto Festival has incorporated two food events, including the fun and affordable Taste of the Beach. Held at the festival’s hub, David Pecaut Square, a whimsical Cardboard Beach installation has been created for this event by Cuban artist collective, Los Carpinteros. Ten local chefs will be serving up a mouth-watering menu of barbequed foods, from things on sticks to favourite summer recipes with live music as the soundtrack. The event goes from noon to 5 p.m and food can be purchased for $5 each.

Halifax Greek Fest | June 12-15, 2014
The oldest and largest cultural festival in Halifax, it’s really all about the food at Halifax’s Greek Fest. Niagara New Vintage Wine Festival | June 14-22, 2014
Niagara hosts three annual festivals, with their late spring festival focusing on their newest vintages. Newbies should consider reserving a Discovery Pass, which allows you to try eight wineries for only $40 (+tax). There are also other fun events including Movie Night at the Trius Vineyard, cheese and wine pairing seminars, as well their main food event the TD Tailgate Party ($85 +tax) on June 22, where you can dine on local dishes paired with wine from the surrounding vineyards.
