The first time we heard about Karlie Kloss’s collaboration with the fashionable eyewear brand Warby Parker was through the model’s own Instagram feed last month. Snapping a photo of the write-up that appeared in the May issue of Vogue, Kloss hinted at the upcoming designs. Luckily for us the wait is finally over and we’re able to share with you the trio of sunglasses she helped to design.
All three shades are very feminine and flattering, and ultra-classic. The base silhouette is the Julia — their translation of the tried-and-true teardrop shape. The other two frame styles are Clara and Marple, which have contemporary wire accents, two different gradient washes and with slightly re-sized lenses — Clara being rounder and Marple is more cat-eye.
Another really cool aspect of this collaboration is that Warby Parker is donating to an organization that is dear to Kloss — Edible Schoolyard NYC, a nonprofit that provides kitchens and gardens to low-income public schools and teaches students about healthy eating habits.
“Collaborating with Warby Parker on this capsule collection was an amazing experience. I’ve always admired their commitment to social enterprise and am so excited that our partnership is supporting Edible Schoolyard NYC’s inspiring work,” Kloss says.
Available now at warbyparker.com and in stores, each pair will retail for $145.
The pair we can’t wait to get our hands on? The Julia with the copper fade lenses is a classic pick we know we’ll love to wear again and again. Click through the slideshow to see the full collection.
