Wine, berry, maroon, burgundy — whatever you call it, we’re loving this hot fall colour right now. Seen all over the Fall 2012 runways, at shows like Peter Som, Nanette Lepore, Alexander Wang, Tibi and Steven Alan to name just a few, this shade went beyond clothes and was seen in beauty too. It’s such an easy colour to incorporate into your wardrobe, since it’s coordinates so well with neutrals like black and white, cobalt blue (another fall favourite), and instantly says autumn — we just need the temps to coordinate. Read on to find out our 8 fashion and beauty picks in this delicious hue.

1. Diane von Furstenberg Delian pebble-lace peplum dress, $445, net-a-porter.com
This is the perfect office to cocktail dress if we ever did see one. The peplum is trendy without being overly out-there, while the length is 9-to-5 appropriate. Wear to work with a blazer and ghttps://travelandstyle.ca//wp-admin/post.php?post=3813&action=editreat pumps, then throw on a statement necklace and you’re ready for drinks.

2. Guerlain “Rouge G l’Extrait” lip colour in Orguiel, $50, shop.nordstrom.com
The perfect red lip will always be in fashion, but this fall we suggest heading a little more towards the wine region to spice up your look. Not only do we love the actual gloss, but the packaging is ultra sexy.

3. Joe Fresh corduroy jean, $20, available at Joe Fresh stores
Corduroy is a fall staple as much as Starbucks Pumpkin Spiced Lattes has become. We just expect it. A great alternative to a jean, it’s a comfy weekend option, we can imagine pairing with a sweater for an off-duty look, or with a cobalt blue blouse for a casual work day.

4. Pour La Victoire Jasmin pump in burgundy/red, $230, eluxe.ca
For those who prefer to keep their heels on the lower side, this is a gorgeous option that you can wear ALL night or even all day. We love the colour-blocking touch on the toe and think you’ll be adding it into your regular shoe rotation.

5. Mango two-tone shoulder bag, $50, shop.mango.com
A perfect little evening bag that isn’t too small, we are fans of the metallic details on the sides, which adds a bit of visual interest, plus it comes with a long strap so you don’t have to hold it in your hands if you don’t want to.

6. T by Alexander Wang pleated neoprene mini skirt, $230, net-a-porter.com
Drinks with the girls, dinner date or even to the office, we’re crazy about this pleated skirt. Besides the gorgeous burgundy hue, we love the fitted high-rise waistband.

7. Essie Skirting the Issue, $8, essie.com
We saw this burgundy shade in Essie’s new fall collection and immediately want to add it to our roster of nail colours. We think it’s the perfect berry hue and are kind of obsessed.

8. H&M cardigan, $40, hm.com
Chilly mornings, even chillier offices — why not throw on this cute cardi from H&M, which also comes with a detachable fur collar.
