When it comes to beach accessories I’ve always focused on finding the perfect tote, sunglasses or SPF. The towel has always been an after-thought. Maybe because I’ve never found one that I was really obsessed about — until now. Named after Australia’s first nude beach enclave, Maslin & Co launched their first beach collection in 2011. Founder Pip Amey spent four years at Betsey Johnson before deciding to branch out and create her own label, with influences ranging from the beach vagabond culture to seventies hedonism.

Shaped like a zebra skin, but 100% cotton (no animals were harmed here!) and done in a bright zebra print, this towel is the ultimate beach luxury. They’ve also managed to merge fashion and function into the design, with a reversible design and a leather holster for easy carrying. This particular style comes in three bold colours, chartreuse (pictured), tangerine and turquoise.
