Currently Coveting: Cozy Sweaters

At home or to stay warm on the plane, knitwear is a must for the fall and winter.

With the holidays over, and a potential warm vacation not for a few weeks, all we want to do is cozy up on the sofa in a super soft, warm, thick sweater with a hot cup of tea. We’ve rounded up the chicest and coziest sweaters to own this season that are perfect for a stay at home, coffee with friends or as a warm staple while travelling (that chilly airplane air won’t bother us in one of these).

1. The Cable-knit Cowl Neck
Ok, so the price is steep, we admit. But, if you’re looking to make a serious investment in a sweater that will take you from season after season after season, you can’t miss a beat with a chunky cable-knit with a cowl neck (Added bonus … it’s cashmere). Think of this après-ski, weekends at a winter cottage or lodge, or on days when it’s imply too cold to even venture outside.

2. The Colourblocked Crewneck
The easiest way to hop on the colourblock trend this season is definitely with a chunky knit. We’re especially loving this colour combo of a yellowy-gold and beige for this cashmere and wool crewneck.
Gene Sweater, $115, aritzia.com

3. The Comfy Turtleneck
We can’t say no to this heather grey, soft blend wool turtleneck. Dress it casually with leggings or dark denim and a cute side braid, or dress it up with black pencil pants, heels and a chic topknot.

4. The Oversized Sweatercoat
We’re obsessed over sweatercoats. Why? Because they are super easy, work great with skinnies and can double as an actual coat while travelling instead of taking both options.

5. The Oversized V-neck
There’s something about a sweater in an oversized style that makes us think cold winter nights by a fireplace. Not to mention it’s super comfortable and easy to travel with. Pair it with skinny pants or jeans for a tailored, non-frumpy look.
Merino Pocket Sweater, $138, jcrew.com

6. The Printed Cardigan
Ethnic prints have been all over the runways for fall and even into next spring and summer, so we’re loving this thick cardi to stay on trend and warm this season.
Ethnic Style Cardigan, $70, mango.com

7. The Cashmere Two Tone
Who doesn’t love cashmere? Especially in a rich cranberry and cherry red combo. This sweater can be worn anywhere with jeans, under a blazer and even with leggings. We’re also bug fans of the leather tan elbow patches.
