With a star-studded client list that includes Nicole Richie, January Jones, Kristen Stewart, Matt Damon and Bradley Cooper to name just a few, L.A.-based celebrity stylist Annie Jagger can be found jetting the globe — from photo shoots to special events — making sure her clients are always red-carpet ready. “I love making people feel beautiful and confident,” she tells us.
Annie’s latest venture, which has seen her frequenting Toronto, is the launch of Gilding the Lily, a high-end accessories boutique in the Distillery District. “As a store owner, I sell fine jewellery that I not only think is gorgeous, but unique as well,” she explains. “The shop goes along with my ethos as a stylist — mixing high and low. And I love being able to give up-and-coming designers a platform to showcase their goods.” Some of the pieces you’ll find her in boutique include sunglasses from eyewear designer Anna-Karin Karlsson, hats by Gladys Tamez Millinery (Johnny Depp is a major fan), and bags from Simone Camille, not to mention tons of gorgeous jewellery from ear cuffs to cocktail rings and statement necklaces.
To find out how to look celebrity-level fashionable while travelling, we had to get the scoop from Annie. She shares what designer’s she always packs (hint: Isabel Marant), her lipstick shade of choice and what music you’ll find on her playlist.
