Last night was the fashion celebration of the year — the 2015 Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. With a serious influx of celebrities, supermodels, editors and photographers gathering in Manhattan, the most exclusive hotels became the pre-gala preparation grounds (because yes, it takes serious time to prepare for this kind of event).

One hotel that’s always a favourite for the pre- and post-celebration events is The Mark Hotel. Close to Central Park on the Upper East Side, this chic and very discreet hotel is a hot spot for the event and this year was no exception. Anna Wintour, Emily Blunt, Kate Hudson, Kendall Jenner, Olivia Wilde, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Mario Testino and Kerry Washington were just some of the guests seen departing from the hotel.

After the big event came to an end, it was back The Mark for the after-party, hosted by Michael Kors. Guests enjoyed a special performance by Miguel at the The Mark Restaurant by Jean-Georges and partied well into the early morning.

Celebrity guests seen at the after-party included Claire Danes, Ashley Olsen, Karlie Kloss, Katie Holmes, Reese Witherspoon, Sienna Miller, Alexa Chung, Keri Russell and many more.
