We discovered this amazing Dundas West shop last month thanks to my sister, Nancy, who happens to live in the neighbourhood. She told me I’d love it and she was right. Opening its doors earlier this August, Dalston Grey, is a vintage-meets-contemporary fashion boutique that is beautifully curated by owner Leah Gust. We were lucky enough to meet Gust the day we popped in to suss out what she had in store.

We discovered a great mix of mint-condition vintage clothes — from a gorgeous pink and blue hounds-tooth print wool skirt, to a chic multi-colour blazer, cozy sweaters and a couple LBD’s. The price point on all of it is super affordable too with the majority of vintage items ranging from $25-$40. On the opposite wall we found vintage accessories, including a pair of black boots, some heels and a few saddle bags we wanted to get our hands on.

The great thing about this boutique is you’ll also find contemporary wear too — the line we loved was called Gat Rimon, which Gust sources from Paris. It’s pricier than the vintage, but totally affordable considering it’s come all the way from France. We fell in love with a pair of leggings, a pretty grey shift-style dress, the blouses and over-sized sweaters. If you happen to be shopping with your guy, you’ll find men’s wear too. Right now Gust carries Raleigh Denim and plans to add more in the future.

If you’re in the area — maybe shopping down Ossington — definitely plan to pop into this lovely boutique.
