Shop We Love: Metropolis Living

Every now and then we come across an amazing shop that we just need to visit over and over again. That just happens to be the case with Metropolis Living in the Junction area of Toronto (if you’re visiting Toronto, or just haven’t been to the Junction, it’s a must and one of our favourite neighbourhoods and has one of our fave restaurants). Metropolis Living looks a bit like a hole in the wall from the outside, but trust us, once you walk through the doors you’ll be enticed to spend hours scouring the shelves, cupboards, boxes and tables. Each piece finds its home in this vintage shop and you’ll find everything from rusting signs, old trinkets and toys from the past, light fixtures, chairs, desks, storage units, to apothecary bottles and jars. Throw in some unique scented candles, soaps and bath products, and vintage totes and bags. Here are a few shots of things we adored on a recent visit. And we plan to get a head start on our holiday shopping by picking up a few one-of-a-kind finds for close friends. FYI — we picked up one of the large signs because we just couldn’t resist.
