8. Real Sports Bar

The moment Real Sports Bar opened it’s huge doors next to the Air Canada Centre (home to the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Raptors), it has been buzz-worthy and has been feeding the sports lover’s appetite for food, games, matches and drinks. The sprawling gastro pub boasts 200 TVs (including a two-storey high big screen), 100-plus beer taps and their main mantra is “We believe that watching the game on a two-storey high HD TV is a sports fan’s given right”. In case you didn’t gather from that last statement, it’s the spot to catch that playoff game, the soccer match during the world cup. But even for non-sports fanatics you can’t beat the deliciously elevated pub food, the atmosphere and pretty much any beer you could want. —Jennifer Weatherhead Harrington
