Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie Gets a Revamp

If you’re in need of a pre-trip facial (aren’t we all?), then a treatment at the newly renovated Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie in the Shangri-La Hotel in downtown Toronto is calling your name.

The new look at the Miraj Hammam Spa.

I have a pre-trip ritual. Before embarking on a long flight or journey, I like to destress and give my mind (and my skin) a little treat. Long flights, that dry airplane air, new temperatures and weather conditions all wreak havoc on my skin, so a facial pre-trip helps get my skin prepped, detoxified and soothed.

Enter the Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie, one of my favourite places to get a facial… that’s now newly renovated as of the end of May. The Toronto staple got a face lift to make it sleek and modern, without losing that Moroccan Hammam feel.

So you still get the traditional Hammam feeling, a little baklava treat at the end of your treatment, but the overall space is more airy and light.

I always opt for the Caudalie Grand Anti-Oxident Facial–a cult favourite at the spa because it can be customized to your skin’s needs (more often than not for me, that means I need/want a hydration boost before a long flight). Designed to get your complexion glowing thanks to a long massage, the end goal of this facial is to accelerate skin renewal.

And if you have time, you’ll also love the traditional Hammam treatment. It really does give you the vibe that you’re in Morocco even though you’re in the heart of downtown Toronto. So even if you’re not hopping on the next flight to Hong Kong (or anywhere!) you can feel like you took a little rejuvenating escape.
