Vienna is easily one of our favourite cities in the world – the classic architecture, the love of classical music, the chic cafes and, of course, the delicious cakes (read our top sights to visit here). It’s a European spot we could visit over and over again, and our next stop will have to be at the Park Hyatt in Vienna, which just opened it’s doors on June 2nd, and we’re lucky enough to get a peek inside of what the luxury hotel has to offer guests in this pretty European city.
Built in a 100-year-old building that used to be a former bank and vault (headquarters for the Austrian Hungarian Monarchy Bank) the Park Hyatt Vienna captures the grandeur that the Austrian city is famed and beloved for. From guilded ceilings to views of Vienna’s largest park, to being the only hotel located at Am Hof Square in the city’s best pedestrian shopping location the Golden Quarter (known for its famous Zum Schwarzen Kameel café and high-end shops including Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Chanel). Book yourself in one of the 143 rooms or 35 suites, and you can bring along your furry travel companions thanks to the VID “Very Important Dog” Service (your pet will get special walking service and even dog sitting).
To up the luxe factor, the hotel even pays homage to its money-making past thanks to a pool in the spa that is lined with gold on the floor, because who doesn’t like resting their toes on a gold floor? And true Austrian lovers will appreciate the craft beer designed just for the hotel and its guests – Viennese Gegenbauer Brewery created a fresh lager of emmer wheat, einkorn wheat, and locally grown, organic barley, served up at The Bank, the hotel’s restaurant and Pearl the lounge/bar.
